Monday, June 26 – Thursday, June 29
OBJECTIVE: To grow competency in and familiarity with the basics of communication in a series of encouraging, fun, and highly interactive experiences. Activity times will promote learning communication essentials. Students will:
- Gain familiarity with communication basics
- Get more comfortable using eyes, movement, voice, energy
- Practice storytelling with expression and meaning
- Explore and apply the concepts of respect and poise
- Learn to ask good questions
- Learn collaboration through teamwork to prepare and present a final presentation.
Monday, June 26 – Thursday, June 29
OBJECTIVE: Expand communication and leadership skills through fun, challenging, engaging, and interactive experiences in a supportive environment. Activities are designed to promote essential competencies. Students will be empowered to:
- Dive into communication training alongside peers
- Further leadership skills through:
- hands-on activities
- creating attainable goals for more challenging leadership opportunities
- Strengthen communication skills through:
- active discussions
- activities created to stretch comfort zones

Student Leader Tracks

Monday, June 26 – Thursday, June 29
OBJECTIVES: During their iCON experience, Apprentices will:
- Receive mentoring from advanced Student Leaders and alumni
- Spend time in an extraordinary, life-giving community
- Exercise leadership skills for intentional growth
- Discover strengths and temperaments through teamwork
- Apply leadership and communication skills as YCC assistants
- Practice vital skills to apply in the real world
- Gain practical skills to take back to chapters, such as
- learning to take initiative
- giving clear instructions
- practicing servant leadership
- engaging in intergenerational communication
Recommended Staff Assistant (RSA)
Sunday, June 25 – Friday morning, June 30
OBJECTIVES: During their iCON experience, RSAs will…
- Work in teams to practice responsibility and servant leadership
- Design and implement curriculum for younger students
- Receive mentoring from ICC staff and alumni
- Serve event participants through facility stewardship
- Create highly interactive experiences
- Be coached by ICC’s Global Leaders
- Practice self-discovery with a focus on character building
- Learn new ways to engage students and peers
- Care for others attendees and host school by leading set up and clean up
- Support the iCON experience by setting up venue
